Rogerio Ferreira

Roger is a session drummer and co-founder of The First Conception with Thomas Conway in 2007 having produced all TFC albums in the UK (except Betterment) and music for other artists. He also composes and makes musical arrangements as well as managing this music project. He's been and still is involved in other musical projects.

Thomas Conway

Tom has developed a unique style rendering acoustic free style instrumental music and comprising a mixture of folk, blues, world, classic, and early music mostly based on his influences which lend this project a symbiotic relationship of dreamy labyrinthine sounds and sparse musical rendering which take the listener on imaginary musical trips. He's been and still is involved in other musical projects.

Jaki Alden

Jaki Alden performs a cappella as part of The Balkanettes at music venues in and around Norwich in Norfolk. They sing European folk, mostly traditional Balkan folk music but have not yet recorded. Jaki joined The First Conception in 2008 for the recording of a few folk, early music and easy listening tracks she helped compose and adapt on a couple of albums. She's part of acoustic trio Iceni Rising.

The Album

This is The First Conception's second album, featuring Jaki Alden on flute and mandolin as guest musician. This album is not available for sale online right now.

Inscape - Special Edition - celebrates Zacron's life work and features a full length version of Woodland Green and the first mix of Mixing Concrete. It is a special edition celebrating Zacron?s life and work on his passing in 2012. Zacron, born Richard Drew, was an English artist who designed the Led Zeppelin III album cover and a few album covers for The First Conception, including this one.

Zacron is best known for designing the iconic Led Zeppelin III album cover for his friend Jimmy Page in 1973. This album cover is part of a vast and varied body of work by Zacron spanning five decades. He's done the same thing for his friend Rogerio Ferreira regarding TFC's Inscape album cover.

The First Conception have developed a unique style which comprises free style original instrumental tracks, early music, folk, easy listening, world, classical, blues and jazz. "We try to create a certain atmosphere within each piece of music that we play." - Rogerio. "We also believe in keeping it sparse." - Tom.
